How to Get Started

Arranging care is simpler than you think.

From your first call to your first visit, we make the process of arranging homecare as straightforward and stress-free as possible. Here's exactly what to expect.

01

Get in Touch

Call us on (01253) 851600 or email admin@briarshomecare.co.uk. Our friendly team will have an initial chat to understand your situation and answer any questions you have. There is no obligation at this stage — just a friendly conversation.

02

Free Home Assessment

We will arrange a free, no-obligation home visit at a time that suits you. One of our experienced team will come to meet you or your loved one, learn about your needs, preferences and daily routines, and discuss the type of support that would be most beneficial.

03

Your Personalised Care Plan

Based on the assessment, we will create a detailed, personalised care plan that reflects your specific needs, wishes and preferences. You will have the opportunity to review and agree the plan before any care begins. Nothing is set in stone — plans can be adjusted at any time.

04

Meet Your Carer

We will carefully match you with a carer whose skills, experience and personality are suited to your needs. Wherever possible, we will introduce your carer before the first visit so you can get to know each other in a relaxed, comfortable way.

05

Care Begins

Your care starts — at the frequency and times agreed in your care plan. Your carer will follow your plan but always with flexibility and sensitivity to how you are feeling on the day. We believe great care is never rigid.

06

Ongoing Reviews

We regularly review your care plan to make sure it continues to meet your needs. Your key worker will check in with you and your family, and we encourage open communication at all times. If your needs change, we adapt — quickly and without fuss.

⏱ How quickly can care start? In many cases we can arrange an initial assessment within 24–48 hours and begin care shortly after. For urgent situations — such as a hospital discharge — we will do everything we can to begin support immediately.
